The Tenfold Monthly

November 2025

Hello,

It’s hard to go an hour these days without hearing the mention of AI, and that trend seemed to peak in October. The month opened with bubble talk, moved through headlines about OpenAI training models with the help of Goldman Sachs and other Wall Street alumni, Meta scaling back parts of its AI hiring, and closed with reports that OpenAI is laying the groundwork for a trillion-dollar IPO.

While talk of AI “taking over the analyst’s desk” sparks obvious fear, it will eliminate the most mundane tasks—the endless data pulls, memo drafts, and model tweaks—allowing professionals to spend more time on strategic, high-impact work. In less than a year, we’ve moved from speculation to clarity: it’s now clear where this is heading, and it should serve as a signal for what junior talent will need to build the most relevant skill set for the future.

Infrastructure continues to show strength, with significant raises announced across the sector. Brookfield led headlines by raising $20 billion for its Energy Transition Fund—the largest of its kind—and bringing in more than $4 billion for the first close of its latest infrastructure-debt vehicle.

Consolidation remains the dominant theme. Brookfield plans to take full control of Oaktree, underscoring tighter integration across real assets and credit. Thoma Bravo announced a strategic minority investment in SDC Capital Partners, expanding its digital-infrastructure adjacency, and Future Standard announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the Digital Infrastructure platform of Post Road Group, launching a new digital-infrastructure platform.

Digital infrastructure remains one of the most active areas in private capital, and that momentum is translating directly into hiring. We’re leading two searches in the space—both open to top performers who don’t need prior digital-infrastructure deal experience, but who bring the drive to excel in a fast-growing sector that sits at the intersection of technology and real assets.

  • Associate – Digital Infrastructure (New York)

  • Senior Associate – Digital Infrastructure (Washington, D.C.)

The most successful moves will come from those positioning thoughtfully, identifying the right platforms, and securing roles that align with where the next cycle is headed.

Below, you’ll find the latest news, trends, and capital shifts as we kick off the final quarter of the year.

Let’s dive in.

October ‘25 Poll Results

In October, we asked how firms will handle the new $100K H-1B fee. 38% expect a shift toward domestic hires, 31% will sponsor at the higher cost, 19% plan to reduce H-1B hiring overall, and 13% would lower “pedigree” to save. The signal: most teams won’t dilute standards—many will still pay for top talent—but the center of gravity tilts on-shore and ROI will drive every sponsorship decision.
