Over the past year, we've observed fewer senior-level switches between similar-sized GPs, with a noticeable shift toward forming new teams and strategic hires for entering untapped sectors. Sectors such as utilities and nuclear energy have begun to capitalize on the power demands driven by AI advancements, highlighted by significant capital raises like Pelican Energy Partners' inaugural nuclear services fund and NEOS's latest energy transition pool.

On Wall Street, bonuses are set to increase for the first time since 2021, reflecting renewed confidence in the financial markets. We've also seen a spike in interest from buy-side professionals looking to move back to the sell-side to participate in the anticipated IPO and M&A resurgence.
